What is RapidPro?
RapidPro is the basis for most features in each RapidShare Account. This feature will enable you to download parallel and unlimited amount of files at unlimited speed (limited to your ISP). RapidPro also allows you to use the Secure Storage, Unlimited Traffic and to customize your Account according to your individual need.
What are Rapids?
Rapids are a virtual currency which has been developed for RapidShare. Rapids can be used to buy flexible features for your Account. The precise billing system allows you to have full control of your Storage and Traffic features.
I bought 495 Rapids. Why my RapidPro is still inactive?
As of 18th May 2011, the required Rapids for RapidPro activation has changed to the following: 990 Rapids for 30 days, 2,990 Rapids for 150 days, 9,990 Rapids for 2 years.
What can Rapids be used for?
Currently you can convert Rapids to use the following features:
- Activate RapidPro packages
- Purchase Games on RapidShare Shop
Do Rapids have an expiry date?
No. However, if you have enough Rapids in your account, they will be used to renew your account if it expires.
How long is a RapidPro package valid?
In order for us to give you the most flexible duration period, the duration of a RapidPro package was made to be 30 days, 150 days or 2 years. You have the possibility to extend the duration of the RapidPro package automatically on the expiry date if there are enough Rapids remaining in your account.
Can a RapidPro package be deactivated?
Yes. You have the possibility to use the Account without using a RapidPro package. As soon as your RapidPro package has expired, all affiliated features will be deactivated. In order for you to download without using any "RapidPro" you can log out of the Account and use the browser to download file. Requested files are saved without redirection. The usage of a download manager is not supported by Accounts without active RapidPro.
What happens if a RapidPro package is deactivated?
As soon as the RapidPro package is deactivated, all affiliated features will automatically be disabled. The affiliated features include the download Traffic feature, the Secure Storage feature and the RapidShare Manager.
Can Traffic be lost or deleted?
No. Traffic will never be lost or deleted. If the RapidPro package is not activated, however, you will not be able to use the remaining traffic. Only by reactivating the RapidPro packages will the remaining Traffic be added to the new package.
Can I send Traffic to my friends and family?
No. Traffic can not be transmitted to other accounts. You can however, send Rapids from one account to another, with which Traffic can be bought. You also have the possibility to provide your own files as TrafficShare downloads, hence taking over the costs of the download.
Am I allowed to sell Rapids?
No. The selling of Rapids is a privilege of our (Rapidshare AG) verified Resellers. By doing so we (Rapidshare AG) can ensure that the quality of our service remains on a high standard. We (Rapidshare AG) reserve the right to close any Accounts which have acquired their Prepaid Balance through unauthorised Resellers.
How do I download a file?
First, click on the download link or open it in the address bar of your browser. You will be redirected to the page where you can choose between Free Download and Rapid Download. Now select the corresponding download type. Only RapidPro users can choose Rapid Download and save the file directly. Free Download Users must first wait for the indicated waiting period.
